The SOMATEX® Marrow Cut standard system for bone marrow biopsy from the iliac crest follows the standard principle of the Jamshidi biopsy. The system is characterised by the quality features of easy handling, optimum material and excellent processing.

    Puncture cannula:
The puncture cannula is made of stainless steel, offers maximum stability and has a tapered point. The trocar positioned in the cannula is equipped with an extremely sharp-ground diamond point, allowing for easy penetration of the cortex.

The enclosed biopsy slide with measuring function reliably indicates the size of the marrow sample taken. The application support facilitates the introduction of the measuring slide.

With the ergonomically designed handle it is possible to apply optimum pressure during the procedure. An attached, second cover cap for the needle grip helps preventing blood from leaking from the proximal end of the cannula.

A Luer-Lock connector offers the option to connect syringes and subsequently allows for vacuum-supported biopsy collection.
